Potluck...

Today's outfit kind of came together by accident. This weekend had been pretty busy for me, I had done a bit of shopping on Friday but never got a chance to open what I had bought. So, This morning as I drank my coffee I figured I would take a look . Now I wasn't really trying for a look...I was just throwing things on to see what they looked like.  The first item to go on was this great Lorelei dress from Icing . Miko Omagamu makes such wonderful vintage dresses and this one is no exception. As usual the system skirt is extremely well done and the details are fantastic. After ogling the dress and putting on my skirt butt shape..(come on now?..I know you all have one.) I went for one of  newest releases from Truth. This one is called Nahla, its a medium length style with lots of fun layers. Nahla comes with two versions, one with a side swept bang (pictured here) and one with a straight across bang. Both versions are great and for me it was love at first sight.  I still had on the Tattoos from Artilleri, that I had worn in my previous post for Luna Jubilee's weekly colour challenge, As I stared at the overall look of the hair, dress and tattoos together I realized I really liked how it looked.  This outfit ..is fun..and sexy..with a little bit of edge. I threw on some accessories and my trusty Lady Ts' from Pixel Mode and I was set!

Put the lime in the coconut........

So, this weeks colour for Luna Jubilee's 52 weeks of color challenge  is ...Electric Lime! (makes WTF? face).  I'm not a big fan of lime in the first place, but electric lime?  I really thought I was going to have to pass on this week.. but then I found these really cute high waisted capris by Artilleri and my faith was restored!. I absolutely love anything with a high waist, it makes for such a sleek and sexy silhouette, and these lime ones with the zebra print belt ( also comes with a leopard print belt as well)  are just a lot of fun! I've paired it with this great Darla Top, also from Artilleri.  Threw in some tats and fun accessories to create a really great retro look. The pictures were also taken on the Artilleri sim, I took a ton of pics and had a really hard time choosing which ones to post..lol. If your into anything retro or rockabilly I highly recommend checking out both the store and surrounding sim,  both were fantastic!

Bad Romance..

A woman's entrance and exit should always be memorable, but sometimes certain ...situations.... call for a hasty exit.  If this is the case, I have two pieces of advice.  First, his shirt will always be easier and faster to get on then your own (plus you'll look way better in it then he did!). Second, never run across wet grass in heels.:P

The Skin I'm In

Today, for the Vanity Universe Skin Fair, Belleza pre-released their newest skin Melissa. For the pre-release , Melissa is available in two skin tones (Sunkissed & Tan) with dark hair/brows and 20 makeup options. If you purchase a line or a fat pack you get bonus lipstick tattoo layers. When Melissa is offically released it will be available in all their tones, as well as the dark, brown and red hair/brows.  I Love this skin!..The lips have a very sensual feel to them and the face is overall beautiful, very smooth and natural.
As is usual with belleza skins the body detailing is just amazing. I love the shoulder blades on this skin..I know what an odd body part to  hold as a favorite ..lol..but this skin would look amazing in a backless dress or top.

A Streetcar Named ..Teal?

Teal is the colour for this weeks  Luna Jubilee colour challenge. . Teal is such a pretty colour and I just love this sheer tank top and scarf set by The Sea Hole. The sheer material of the top adds some sexiness to it while the zebra print on the bikini top and scarf keep it light and fun. Also I am wearing one of the new hair releases from Truth, called Betty. It's  really VERY cute and if you haven't checked it out already you NEED to....like right now...go ..go on...you know you wanna..

Just whatever.....

After my shower today , and vague recollections of motorcycles and storm trooper helmets, I was kind of (as my mother would say ) in a mood.  I had an edge to me and wasn't into the whole scanning my invi a thousand times till I decide what to wear , which is what usually happens. I just grabbed..well ..whatever. I love turning my body into art work, there is almost something sacred when the ink hits the flesh in an expression of yourself. These three tats, from !BANG, Euthanasia Body Art , and Leti's Tattoo and Piercing  blend so perfectly together. It almost soothed my mood to look at them.

Give Me Coffee!!

This morning was one of those those mornings where you wake up , stumble down to the kitchen for a much needed coffee , an realize your still in the same clothes you went out in last night. Lucky for me, theres no bed head or hangovers in SL : P .... When clubbing with friends, you can never fail with a little black dress and this Kyle dress by Hucci is one of my favorites. The cut out details along the sleeves just give it a little something different then your average LBD and the skirt is the perfect length for showing of a great pair of legs.  However, if your not comfortable with the hemline  this dress would still look great paired with some leggings or tights.  Now if you'll excuse me .. I'm going to hit the shower and try to remember last night...

Back to the earth.....

Sometimes we just need to unplug and head back to nature. With our flashing screen, busy lives we often forget to reconnect with mother earth and appreciate all she has given us. Now I do realize this is Virtual "nature" but , hey, there's two feet of snow outside my place right now..I am NOT going out there..lol. The wonderful dress I am wearing is the Pretty White Dress from Kyoot. It indeed made me feel very pretty. The skirt layers in this dress flow beautifully, giving it a very feminine feel that I just love.  The pictures were taken at Alirium, If you have never been there before I would highly recommend making a trip.  This sim is Stunning!  Much of the landscaping is available for purchase inside the store.

 So... Luna Jubilee's 52 weeks of colour challenge this week is appropriately red. I love the colour red its such a sexy and powerful colour. As Valentines Day draws near The air is filled with love, Romance
and Chocolate!  Couples everywhere are getting ready to show their special someone how much they care, and I am one of the lucky people who has a special someone to spend it with. Even so, I wanted to do
something for all the single ladies.  Just because V-day is consider a couples days there's no reason you can't get in on the lovin' too. Show some love to someone very important..YOU. Go out and strut your stuff at the clubs.....draw yourself a nice warm bath with scented oils and rose petals...That piece of jewellery you've had your eye, go out and buy it ...send yourself flowers and chocolates with a sweet little card about how much you mean to you.  Anything to show yourself some love and remind you just how much your worth.

In the mood.....

I wanted to show you all this beautiful earrings and necklace set I picked up at MOOD , while I was at the
I <3 Originals Fair.  It's called the Fallen Tears Ensemble, I am wearing the platinum version but this set also comes in gold which is just as nice. The sculpting and details on this set are exquisite. This piece really does stand alone and compliments pretty much any outfit. Also if you haven't had a chance to check out the fair yet, I would highly recommend making the trip. The fair ends February 13th, which is Sunday!! There's a lot of really great designers involved, with some fantastic products available.

Down the Rabbit Hole

This week Luna Jubilee's 52 weeks of colour challenge is black.  Black is it one of my favorite colours and I was thrilled to see it as this weeks colour.  Although, it was not easy deciding on an outfit, I have a ton of black in my inventory and I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite.  In the end I decided to go with this Coco Chanel Tribute gown from Phoenix Rising, that I wore recently to an Alice In Wonderland theme wedding ( any excuse to wear a top hat is awesome in my books!). Unfortunatly the Phoenix Rising store is now closed, however some of their items are still available on the Marketplace. I have combined it with this wonderfully fun top hat from The Hatter Is Mad, as well as the Queen of Hearts necklace and earings from Body Wear. This outfit was extremely fun to wear and I will be looking for many more reasons to put it on!
